In this Zigma Aerio 300 air purifier review we take a look at the new air purifier that Zigma has introduced for 2020. We will actually unbox the Zigma air purifier, test the purifier out and determine if we think this is a great air purifier for the home.

Why use an Air Purifier?

As l with most of us having to spend a lot more time at home, air quality has become a critical issue for most people. Today we are really excited to be unboxing and reviewing the new Zigma Air Purifier. We have heard a lot about how Zigma previously and are very excited to review this air purifier to see whether it is the great new air purifier in the market for 2020.

We will actually unbox and have a look at the Zigma air purifier, we will then test how the Zigma works, how effective it is and whether it helps with air quality, we will also use the app it has to see how easy it is control and the type of information it provides. 

We will then summarise our finds to determine if we thing this is a great air purifier to use at home.

Now many of us don’t know that indoor air quality can often be up to 5 times worse then the air outside just in Australia alone 1 in 9 aussies have a breathing issue and 3 million have allergies. As in previous reviews we have also discussed how my partner suffers from asthma. Now having asthma and living indoors with carpet is not a good idea so we need a great quality air purifier that can really help.

So let’s now take a look at the Zigma air purifier.

Zigma Aerio 300 Overview

Initial impressions on looking at the Zigma Aerio are very good. The air purifier has a really nice sleek design and would look good in any home or office. It also comes with a manufacturers 2 year warranty which is really good.

It has a nice weight to the air purifier and you can see it really is a quality build. 

The Zigma Air Purifier draws the air into the air purifier which is then treated across a number of stages of filtration:

- Large Hepa Filter that also includes a pre-filter, carbon filter and H13 HEPA filter that can be used to treat any larger particles in the air. This can filter particles out of at least 99.97%

- UVC lamp, ultraviolet sterilization function which uses UVC light with a wavelength of 200 to 275 nnm which can be used sterilise and disinfect. This kills microorganisms including bacteriqa, viruses and spores.

- Negative Ion - This uses negative Ions to create negatively charged single gas molecules that bond with the dust and dust particles which then removes them from the air.

Zigma Operation

Turning on the Zigma Aerio 300 is very easy and the Air Purifier immediately responds by automatically reading the air. There are a number of modes including 4 fan modes as well as automatic. You can also switch off the UVC/Negative Ion if you wish as well by pressing the button. 

The air purifier operates very quietly and if you are looking at using it when you go to sleep you can also switch on night mode. In case you have young kids around there is also a child lock you can use.

Accessing and using the Zigma App is very easy. I was able to download it from the app store and launch very quickly, it was quite easy to set up as well. 

The great thing with the App is it allows you to get the readings of the air purifier. It also allows you to operate the air purifier and you can also select it to turn on in certain atmospheric conditions such as if it hits a certain humidity or temperature. You can also contact Zigma using the app as well.

Testing the Zigma Aerio 300

So we tested out the Zigma Aerio 300 with mist, smoke and deoderant spray. In each case the air purifier responded immediately. As you can see in the picture above the air purifier quickly got to over 200 with the smoke and when we did the mist test it went to 999 which is the air purifier's maximum.

I like how responsive the air purifier was. Also the actual air that was coming out of the machine you could tell was much fresher and helped to purifier the air. We could see a difference in regards to air quality and symptoms of allergies.

It also filtered the air quickly and didn't take long to drop to a much lower reading. To see how the air purifier performed I suggest you check out our Youtube video.

The purifier also has 4 colours:

Blue - Good
Green - Ok
Purple - Poor
Red - Bad

So you could quite quickly see the condition of the air without ever having to have the App on. 

 Final Thoughts

 We found the Zigma Aerio 300 to perform very strongly. It is a great quality air purifier that is able to effectively and efficiently filter the air. In all our tests it responded quickly and was able to very efficiently reduce the pollutants in the air. We recommend as a great new air purifier for 2020!
